I've bee a "quitter" for 9 years now. It was the best thing I ever did. To stop smoking is tough but just remember to eat and get some exercise. Even going for a walk will help ( but chasing the wife is more fun)

Hang in there. You can do it.

The best thing you can do for your self is quit smoking I did 17-18 years ago. But like Ken said you got to keep active or the weight will add up.

Good for you D.

i quit smoking a few years ago. just remember when you are going through a craving that it only actually lasts a few minutes. dont focus on "im never smoking ever again..." just focus one day, hour, minute at a time. i may have a smoke tomorrow but im not having one right now. trust me it works and once all the toxins get out your cardio is going to be so much better. also, watch the partying for a while... a couple drinks in ya and it will be very hard not smoke. anyways - just my opinion.

dude straight up...I know first account from my father dying form cancer from years of smoking and it is BRUTAL!

yes its kinda with my personal life but your my teammate and basically through all BCTAC members I am stating this, I have first hand account dealing with the hardship of a family member going through and dying from cancer years of smoking

you have kids and anyone with kids, seeing a family member you love and respect going through that is something I wish never to be seen upon anyone, months of kemo-therapy, tube's all through out there body and not being able to move, not being able to help, countless surgeries and organ removal ( my father had his stomach and lung removed because of the cancer ) being in a hospital till his death, my father accepted his fate and through the tough months so did I, and eventually was there holding his hand till the end ( in mid 2005 )

my mom told me many time's, my dad ( after his death ) was so proud of me and my sister that we never took up smoking and I hold that with so much pride that I never did or will and we are in our 20's now, and I make sure that she takes care of herself and that I look out for her, like my dad told me to do.

just think of your kids man, growing up and having to think and go through as a result of smoking and what I had to its a horrible, horrible fate

as much as its tough on your mental and physical state right now to quit smoking...its 100 X's harder on your kids dealing with the results from smoking in the oncoming years

its really about the family dude..really is

my 2 cents
